Friends of Tigertail hosted “Breakfast and Birds” presentations at Tigertail Beach in January and March. Well attended by residents and visitors, the participants learned avian identification techniques followed by practice on the lagoon beach. Many bird species greeted the groups on the sand and in the water as well as flying overhead to the delight of the observers.
The Friends group is looking forward to hosting the Great American Cleanup at Tigertail Beach on March 22, expecting many volunteers working together to spruce up the area for the benefit of beach go-ers as well as wildlife.
