Our 2024 Collier County Litter Index Report is now available!
A few months ago, we asked some volunteers and partners to walk, bike, or drive to different locations in their neighborhood, observe litter in the area, and assign the location a score between 1-4. We are deeply grateful for the active participation of our community, which allowed us to receive scores from over 100 locations across Collier County, ensuring an accurate representation of our assessment.
As a result of this initiative, we identified key locations that required immediate attention and assigned some volunteers to these locations in our Great American Cleanup. Moving forward, we will use these results as a reference for the rest of our planned community-wide cleanup events and group volunteer cleanups this 2024.
