After the Independence Day holiday, Friends of Tigertail hosted their summer beach clean-up at Tigertail Beach on 7/6/2024. 26 volunteers participated, including several families, Collier County officials, and “regulars” who consistently join the quarterly Tigertail clean-ups.

Together, they collected 64 pounds of trash, including two full large garbage bags of cans and bottles and three bags of miscellaneous debris, in addition to several heavy construction items.

The next Tigertail event will be in association with Collier County and Keep Collier Beautiful on Saturday, 9/21/24, part of the International Coastal Clean-up. Coastal areas throughout the world are cleaned on this day, and the types of debris collected are tabulated to give an all-encompassing view of the trash issue.
